The procedures of split bending and split profiling allow a production of integrally bifurcated sheet structures. Here, thin sheets are split linearly on the sheet level and transformed to flat ribbed sheet metals in a bending process. In combination with the process of interior high pressure reshaping, reinforced sheet shells can be produced from these bifurcated structures.
