A selected case study building is analysed, conceptually renovated, and assessed from a sustainable net-zero perspective. Students are required to prepare complete project specifications, including floor plans and supporting documentation.
The central focus lies on the energetic optimisation of a real, suitable building through the application of advanced simulation software. Within the framework of a small project, students systematically undertake all stages of the process: basic determination, inventory, generation of design variants, simulation, evaluation according to defined criteria, and selection of a preferred variant. The findings of the project are presented throughout the semester in the form of an interim presentation, a final presentation, and comprehensive documentation.
The courses Green Building Design I, Green Building Design II and Green Building Project are independent of each other and can be taken individually
